So I replied to one of your tiktok posts and it got me thinking about it and after listening to your review I think you made some very fair points. I do so wish the author had made the alpha older/college age -it would have been so easy to that. And then I could say this was a perfect story. I think mature manga should have adult characters. (Or underage characters fade to black at least.)
I have read a fair amount of Omegaverse and have loved some and hated some. A huge problem I have found (at least for me) is the Omega often looks so young often too young and is all too often initialized. And of course more often than not the Alpha is bigger and more aggressive. I am starting to see this changing or least I am finding more books -Omegaverse (or even BL -which has this same problem of too young looking ukes.). More adult characters and adult characters looking their age even if youngish/boyish. More uke/omega characters that aren’t just doormats. I just read How to Deal when Your Intimidating Neighbor is Actually an Omega. -college with a sweet alpha and not a doormat omega.
So all this to say. I really liked this story and the way the author handled the SA and trauma elements. I like how it wasn’t just love heals all –we see issues pop up later. I like how there are so many different stories and that we can discuss the flaws as well as the positives. (Just authors -please use adult characters in mature stories!)
It would absolutely be a perfect story if it was fade to black or set in college to begin with! I love these characters and definitely appreciate that the omega wasn’t absurdly immature or too young looking. Overall I also love the author for tackling the difficult issues in this story!
